The Last of Us: Part 2, Death Stranding Spotted in The Game Awards’ Recent Trailer

Both PS4 exclusives could receive new trailers, if not new details, at the awards ceremony.

The Game Awards, hosted and produced by Geoff Keighley, has been a hotspot for new announcements and world premieres for quite a while now. This year is no exception, and given Keighley’s association with Kojima Productions boss Hideo Kojima, it was expected that another trailer for Death Stranding would be at this year’s ceremony. However, it appears that another big PS4 exclusive could be featured as well.

In a recent trailer shared for The Game Awards 2018 on Twitter by Keighley, Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us: Part 2 was also featured. While existing releases like God of War and Fortnite are also seen, it stands to reason that the inclusion of Death Stranding and The Last of Us: Part 2 means something is going down. With Sony not hosting PlayStation Experience this year, it would make sense to have some new trailers during the show.

The real question is: What will we see? Will one or both games receive release dates? Will they have updated release windows? What kinds of other teases could they present, especially given how much currently know about both? The Game Awards 2018 take place on December 6th at 5:30 PM PT/8:30 PM ET, so we’ll have to wait and see.
