Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate is inching towards launch on July 15th, with another Developer Livestream outlining what players can expect. Alongside a surreal launch trailer with old-timey elements and more than a few Control vibes, Bungie also outlined when players can expect the next raid. For those looking to farm Exotics, however, a new post-game three-player activity with matchmaking will be available.

Assistant game director Robbie Stevens said that it’s “Horde Mode-inspired” and similar to the likes of The Witch Queen’s Wellspring and Lightfall’s Vex Incursion. You can still expect bosses and situations where utilizing Kepler’s new abilities – Matterspark, the Relocator, and Mattermorph – will be essential.

Oddly enough, however, it’s “technically time-limited” – a pretty big deviation from the above-mentioned activities, which are available permanently to players after meeting certain conditions in The Witch Queen and Lightfall campaigns. Stevens didn’t indicate how long it would be available or how often it would return, so stay tuned for more updates.

Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate will be available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC. It’s the first expansion of the current content year, with the next, the Star Wars-based Renegades, coming in December.
