Devil May Cry 5 (6)

Confused about the story of Devil May Cry 5? Not quite sure who Nero is or how Dante go to this point? Capcom has released a special “The Story So Far” trailer which sums up the series’ storyline for fans. Devil May Cry 2 has a minimal presence, thankfully.

Devil May Cry 5 takes place years after the fourth game and sees Nero embarking on a quest to save Red Grave City. A mysterious entity has taken his Devil Bringer arm, but thankfully, mechanic Nico has built the Devil Breaker. This metal prosthetic can utilize several different “arms”, each with their own unique skills and properties.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Devil May Cry game without Dante. He returns in force with his signature skills and a few new ones (like using a motorcycle as a launcher and splitting it into dual saw swords). Mysterious character V also has his own playstyle utilizing familiars. How he fits into the story remains to be seen.

Devil May Cry 5 is out on March 8th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Check out the spoiler-ific “final” trailer here.
