Crystal Dynamics have resumed sharing information on the upcoming Marvel’s Avengers with its launch approaching. During their recent War Table stream, they spoke about everything from the single player campaign Hero Missions to loot to the co-op War Zone missions– with a special focus on thee latter.
Following that, on Reddit, Philippe Therien – War Zones Director for Marvel’s Avengers – held an AMA session where he answered plenty of questions about the War Zone missions, and revealed some new details. For instance, it’s been confirmed that players can play War Zones with AI partners (or with a combination of other plaayers and AI partners). Therien also confirmed that players will be able to choose who their AI teammates will be, while also adding that the developers are “still tuning” XP, gear, and other rewards for AI teammates. In another comment, Therien also explained that interestingly enough, the game’s difficulty will adjust based on what Hero you’re playing as.
Marvel’s Avengers is out on September 4 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia, and release later on PS5 and Xbox Series X. Check out the game’s newest trailer through here.
