Overwatch Echo

Blizzard Entertainment has announced that Overwatch’s next hero Echo will hit live servers next week. Though available on the Public Test Realm server till now, live servers on all platforms will finally get their chance to play her on April 14th. Echo is the 32nd hero to be added to the game, first debuting in the animated short “Reunion” in 2018.

As a Damage dealer, Echo is capable of firing a tri-shot from a distance and deploying cluster bombs for burst damage. She can fire a focused laser which deals more damage to targets and barriers below 50 percent health. Flying, or high jumping, is also possible with a floaty descent akin to Mercy.

Echo’s Ultimate is the most interesting out of all the heroes – it allows her to duplicate an enemy hero for a short time. This clone has increased Ultimate generation so you could, say, toss out multiple Pulse Bombs as Tracer. Time will tell how well Echo is balanced but she’s the last hero coming to the game before Overwatch 2 launches. Stay tuned for more details when she goes live next week.
