Path of Exile 2_02

Grinding Gear Games had a momentous year with Path of Exile, despite starting on a rather shaky note with Synthesis League. It brought several welcome changes with Legion, including a revamp of melee combat, and introduced the Blight League with unique tower defense mechanics. Of course, that’s not all we saw.

In a new trailer, the developer also looks back on several of its high-profile announcements from ExileCon. These include Path of Exile 2, a free expansion that will add seven more Acts to the base game, and Path of Exile for mobile. It was also where the new Metamorph League and Conquerors of the Atlas expansion was revealed.

Suffice it to say that 2020 is going to be an even bigger year for the game. Path of Exile 2 will go into beta in late 2020 and there will be even more Leagues with new content to experience. Stay tuned for more updates on how the base game will change and what direction the action RPG will take, especially with Blizzard’s Diablo 4 on the horizon.
