#5. RESIDENT EVIL 3
1998’s Resident Evil 2 gave players a glimpse of the famed Raccoon City, but with Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, the gates were blown wide open, and the entire city was opened up to players. From the city itself to Raccoon Park to the clock tower and so much more, the game was full of varied locations that, thanks to their incredible and winding design, were an absolute joy to explore. RE3’s remake was a bit of a disappointment in this regard, with major locations being cut out entirely and Raccoon City itself being disappointingly small and brief, but nothing will ever take away from how incredible the original game was in this regard, and will always be.
