No Mercenaries Mode

With how much has been cut from the game, it’s perhaps most shocking to hear that Mercenaries Mode isn’t here either. It’s even more disappointing since the mode began its life in the original PS One version, offering a choice between three different UBCS characters – Carlos, Nikolai or Mikhail – as you race from one location to the next.

There’s only two minutes to spare but you can gain more time by killing zombies and helping survivors (who also provide some items). Nemesis is also here, providing some added challenge and could even be killed for extra time. Even if Capcom didn’t expand too much on the original concept, it still would have been great to see this brought back and playable with the more fluid gunplay and higher production values. But alas, it wasn’t.
