Silent Hill: Townfall Will Continue Development at Annapurna Interactive, No Code, and Konami

The upcoming horror title is seemingly unaffected by the recent resignation of Annapurna Interactive's entire staff last month.

Annapurna Interactive and Konami haven’t provided many details on Silent Hill: Townfall, developed by No Code of Stories Untold fame. With the recent resignation of Annapurna Interactive’s entire staff, including president Nathan Gary, there were questions about ongoing projects, including Townfall.

In an update on Twitter, Annapurna apologized for concerns around the title. The publisher, Konami and No Code will continue co-developing it, but there are still no details on its release date or gameplay. Whether the upheaval at Annapurna has resulted in any internal delays is also unknown.

Silent Hill: Townfall is intriguing because it’s allegedly the first part of an anthology series. Insider AestheticGamer reported that similar titles are in the works involving other indie studios worldwide. Of course, those plans have yet to be officially announced.

In the meantime, Silent Hill fans can look forward to the launch of Silent Hill 2 remake on October 8th for PS5 and PC. Check out the first hour of gameplay and a preview of the soundtrack.
