Spider-Man Is Fastest Selling PS4 Exclusive Ever In UK, On Track To Overtake Uncharted 4’s LTD Sales

There was never really any doubt that Insomniac’s PS4 exclusive Spider-Man would sell like hot cakes, which was something that the game made good on immediately upon launch. It immediately became the fastest selling game of the year in the UK, topped September sales in both the US and Japan, and also had very impressive digital sales figures for the month.

And it’s continued to perform exceedingly well even now. GamesIndustry reports that Spider-Man has now become the fastest selling PS4 exclusive of all time in the UK, overtaking the likes of God of War, Uncharted 4, and Gran Turismo Sport. More notable, the open world superhero title is also on track to overtake Uncharted 4 as the highest selling PS4 exclusive title in the UK.

Spider-Man has also received two DLCs since launch in The Heist and Turf Wars, with a third, called Silver Lining also due out in December, so there’s no doubt that the game is going to continue to do well. That, and the fact that Spider-Man is inherently an extremely attractive property, bodes very well for the game’s future.
