If you still haven’t jumped into Street Fighter 5, a new free trial is available for PS4 and PC. This is for the Champion Edition and includes access to all characters, including the Season 5 Character Pass for a grand total of 45 playable fighters. It’s live until May 11th.
Both the base game and Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition are also discounted until then. Following its February 2016 launch, which received ample backlash due to the lack of features and content, Capcom’s flagship fighter has received numerous updates. The “definitive update” is the most recent and adds a hefty amount of balance changes for each fighter along new tracksuit colors and Cel-Shading and Pixel filters for offline use.
After releasing its final DLC character Luke, Capcom announced that Street Fighter 6 is in development. No platforms have been announced, though rumors claim it’s coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Insider AestheticGamer aka Dusk Golem also reported that it would be developed on RE Engine. Additional details will be revealed this Summer so stay tuned.
