It’s been over a year since we last saw anything of The Last of Us Part 2, but it seems the time is fast approaching for that to change. A media event for the game is scheduled to be held later this month, and though that’s supposed to be a press-only event, that doesn’t mean there’s nothing for the larger public to look forward to.
Sony has announced on its official Spanish blog that at Madrid Games Week in October – which runs from October 3rd to October 6th, to be more precise – they will be showing something new from The Last of Us Part 2. They haven’t mentioned whether it’ll be a new trailer, or if its new gameplay footage- but it’s definitely something.
A recent report also suggested that Sony are holding another event in September, and speculation has suggested that it’ll be another State of Play stream showcasing The Last of Us Part 2 gameplay to the larger public. On top of that, there was another recent report that said that gameplay footage would be shown to the public “soon”. It’s possible that that State of Play footage – if it does indeed end up happening – is what Sony will be bringing to Madrid Games Week as well. Either way, we’ll find out soon enough, so stay tuned to GamingBolt for all updates.
