The Sims 4 Live Dance Party aka “Twitch Chat to the Rescue”

I’ll be honest – I have absolutely nothing against The Sims. In fact, when the series first started out way back when, I found the entire premise charming and more than a little appealing for one’s inner sociopath. For all the greatness the franchise started out with, it’s safe to say that The Sims 4 isn’t quite at that level. But that’s a personal preference at the end of the day.

However, this? A live dance party on the stage instigated by Maxis studio GM Rachel Franklin and which ended up looking way too awkward? Electronic Arts couldn’t have thrown in a 30 second teaser for Mass Effect Andromeda in this space instead? Apparently not and boy did we pay the price. So why is this a highlight? Because it’s times like this that Twitch chat becomes the hero we both need and deserve with its comedy.
