Sony’s E3 Format
While we have to commend Sony for trying something different this year, “different” doesn’t always equal “good”. The presser started with the audience gathered in a church, similar to that seen in The Last of Us: Part 2, and the amazing composer Gustavo Santaolalla performing live. After some harrowing gameplay footage, we went to an extensive intermission. Then the audience shifted to another venue. Then we had another musical performance. Awkward transitions created via Media Molecule’s Dreams shifted us from one game to another. Many reveals happened after the live presser was over. Again, points for doing something different but it could have been done much better. At least the games looked awesome.
