Halo Infinite
Following the destruction of the UNSC Infinity, and the existence of The Weapon, there are a lot of questions when Halo Infinite first kicks off. However, it’s eventually revealed that The Weapon is a copy of Cortana, used to lock her down following the events of Halo 5. But despite Cortana committing other atrocities, she would self-destruct.
She advises Chief and The Weapon in her final message to live and avoid her mistakes. When finishing the game on Legendary, a post-credits scene reveals an AI called Offensive Bias, hinting at the next threat. Nevertheless, the campaign is a good wrap while setting the stage for something new.
