It Takes Two
From the outset, it seems a given that It Takes Two will have a happy ending. Cody and May, who are planning to divorce, are essentially turned into dolls and must cooperate together to reverse the spell. Meanwhile, their daughter Rose believes herself to blame for their impending divorce and runs away from home. The couple undergo a number of trials, remembering things that they loved about themselves and each other before finally falling in love again. The spell is reversed and they retrieve Rose before it’s too late. Again, a typical happy ending but it’s executed well and feels earned.
