Chicory: A Colorful Tale
Set in the world of Picnic, which has been drained of all colors, the story sees Pizza, the protagonist, going to Chicory to find out what happened. On not receiving an answer, they take her Brush and set about restoring color to the world. In the midst of all this is a darkness that’s been spreading and by the end, Pizza has to give the Brush back to Chicory. Throughout it all, Pizza learns of the mental toil that wielding the Brush can have (which affected Chicory heavily).
Eventually, you make the decision to destroy the Brush which has been carrying the darkness of all of its past wielders. It fights back and ousts Pizza but thankfully, upon manifesting their true wish to create art, a new Brush is crafted. Together with Chicory, who creates her own Brush, the duo defeat the darkness and restore peace to the world. In the midst of it all is the message of mental health awareness, empathizing with the stress that comes with creativity and renown, and much more.
