The Pathless

A number of Unreal Engine titles on this list showcase cutting-edge graphics and realism. But The Pathless, from Abzu developer Giant Squid Studios, is different. It takes a cel-shaded approach while still injecting atmospheric lighting, god rays and realistic particles into the proceedings. The aesthetic gives way to some excellent animation and personality for its characters. The Pathless was slated to arrive last year for PC and PS4 `but still has no release date.
