Xbox E3 Show To Reveal 3 New First Party IPs and Halo Infinite; Strongest Third Party Showing Ever – Report

It looks like Microsoft's got a huge conference lined up.

That Microsoft plans on making the upcoming E3 2019 its biggest E3 event ever is no secret. They’ve recently confirmed that they’ll be showing 14 first party titles at the event, while recent reports that the conference will be their longest ever have also suggested similar things. Now, a new report makes some bold statements about what we can expect to see from them in terms of software- and it’s a lot.

The report comes from Brad Sams of Thurott, a known insider, who mentions a lot of interesting things. For starters, we know Gears 5 is going to be at the show, which Microsoft have already confirmed. Sams also says that Microsoft will be giving us our first proper look at Halo Infinite, which he calls a next gen title. In order to avoid giving the initial impression that the next Halo title is coming to older hardware, Microsoft will be showing PC gameplay.

Meanwhile, the report also mentions that Fable 4 might be one of the games that gets shown off next (there’s been growing speculation on that front, that’s for sure)- but what’s even more interesting is that Microsoft is supposedly going to flex its newfound first party muscles as well. And they’re going to do that by showing “at least” three new first party IPs- previous rumours have suggested that one of them might belong to Team Ninja (while we know inXile are working on something as well).

The report also mentions that E3 2019 will see excellent third party presence as well- the largest ever in Microsoft’s E3 history, in fact. That makes immediate sense- since Sony isn’t at E3, Microsoft is the only place for many third parties to show off their stuff (other than those that have their own conferences, like Bethesda, Ubisoft, and Square Enix). The likes of Cyberpunk 2077 and Borderlands 3 are likely going to be at the show, while we have also been hearing rumours of FromSoftware’s next title being announced at the Microsoft conference as well.

We’ll find out soon enough either way just how much of this ends up being accurate- E3 is less than a week away. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for all the updates.
