Sony has announced that the first State of Play presentation for 2022 would be taking place on February 2nd, 2 PM PT/5 PM ET. Polyphony Digital’s Gran Turismo 7 is the focus and will receive over 30 minutes of new gameplay footage on PS5 along with details. The presentation airs live on YouTube and Twitch.

A PlayStation event has been rumored for some time with insider Tom Henderson latter suggesting it would take place on February 3rd (which is close enough). He noted that media events for Gran Turismo 7 and GhostWire: Tokyo would happen in January but that the former had faced a delay. It was last reported to be taking place on February 3rd.

Thus, it’s possible that various previews from other media outlets will go live after the upcoming State of Play. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.

Gran Turismo 7 is out on March 4th for PS4 and PS5. It reportedly requires a near 90 GB download on PS5. Check out the most recent trailer here which hypes up PS5 features like DualSense and 3D audio.
