id Software took to Twitter to announce the cancellation of the upcoming Invasion Mode for DOOM Eternal, and announced a brand-new Horde mode.
Current-gen console owners can enjoy 4K/60 FPS, 120 FPS and ray tracing modes. Ray tracing has also been added to the PC version.
id Software releases the original Quake on PC in 1996. It is one of the most important and influential first-person shooters ever made.
The update offers support for 4K/60 FPS, 120 FPS and even ray tracing (but not for Xbox Series S). PC players also receive ray tracing support.
"We’re pushing the engine in exciting new ways and we can’t wait for GeForce RTX gamers to experience it," says id Software's Marty Stratton.
The event will once again be digital-only.
id Software previously stated that cosmetics could only be unlocked with XP.
