"We call it Astro Bot because we treat this as a new beginning," says Nicolas Doucet, who's studio head at Team Asobi.
Team Asobi's 3D platformer will also have "die-and-retry" levels, providing a more challenging experience for some players.
The DualSense, including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, is fully supported. Team Asobi also promises "improved Astro controls."
True to recent leaks, the fan-favourite IP is getting its first full-fledged console platformer, featuring over 50 "exciting and diverse worlds."
