Martin Walker – Spec Ops: The Line
Spare a thought for poor Martin Walker. He came to Dubai with his squad to confirm if any survivors were present after Colonel John Konrad and the 33rd Batallion’s shenanigans. Due to Konrad saving his life at one point, Walker feels he has an obligation to find him and the reason he deserted. After accidentally killing civilians with white phosphorous, Walker becomes more aggressive and disturbing while seemingly communicating with Konrad over radio. It’s revealed to be a ruse though – by the end, Konrad is revealed to be dead and Walker has to confront himself over the atrocities caused. This can go many ways – like radioing for extraction and then killing the entire patrol.
