Sony finally announced that PlayStation VR2, its next-generation VR headset, will release in early 2023 following numerous rumors on the same. But when exactly can it be expected to release? PSVR2 Without Parole, who originally leaked the Q1 2023 release window back in February, has been told that it would arrive in late February to early March next year.

Given that a PlayStation Showcase has been rumored for September (specifically on September 8th), Sony may be ready to showcase more of the headset. It may even discuss the price, if not when precisely pre-orders will begin. Time will tell.

Sony has stated that PlayStation VR2 will launch with over 20 “major first party and third party” titles. Thus far, we’ve seen the likes of Horizon Call of the Mountain, No Man’s Sky, Resident Evil Village, The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners – Chapter 2: Retribution, and many more announced. PSVR2 Without Parole also previously claimed that Killzone VR was in development for the platform, though Sony has yet to confirm this.
