Valve has updated its list of Unsupported, Supported and Verified games on the Steam Deck thus far, adding several names to all categories.
On the day of launch at 10 AM PT/1 PM ET, the first batch of order emails will be sent out for those who reserved a unit. Shipping begins on February 28th.
The list of 38 Steam Deck Verified games so far also includes the likes of Hollow Knight, Psychonauts 2, Scarlet Nexus, and several more.
"Global pandemic, supply issues, and shipping issues notwithstanding, it looks like we'll be able to start getting these out the door by the end of February," Valve says.
It seems like Sony and Valve have worked out a deal to bring the former's seminal VR first person shooter to the upcoming PSVR2.
Valve's digital storefront hit its highest ever concurrent user count to date on January 2, with a peak of 27,942,036 users.
Available until January 5th, 2022 at 10 AM PST, the sale offers discounts on tons of different titles including Deathloop, Prey and more.
Valve designer Greg Coomer reassures that "all the signs are pointing" to the company "being able to ship in February."
Valve also confirms that with the final prototype build of the Steam Deck having been wrapped up, it's now going to make minor adjustments for the final product.
In response to Tyler McVicker's latest video on the same, the company says "he has no inside information about what goes on at Valve."
"No, that doesn't make much sense to us. It's a PC and it should just play games like a PC," said Valve regarding its interest in exclusives.
It's been claimed that in a bid to bolster the Steam Deck, Valve is currently working on a co-op FPS/RTS hybrid based on Half-Life called Citadel.
Steam has recorded a new concurrent player peak of 27,384,959. The previous record was 26.9 million concurrent users in April 2021.
Along with maintaining strong frame rate performance, image quality for the 2019 title is also fairly good on Valve's portable PC handheld.
