Blizzard – Diablo 3 (First Year)

Diablo 3 Eternal Collection

Diablo 3 was constantly under the gun to be a successor to Diablo 2 rather than its own great game. That being said, Blizzard made a number of other terrible decisions like real-money trading through the Auction House and having the game be always online. When Diablo 3 launched, servers immediately crashed, preventing players from accessing the story mode. When they did, they were horrified at the pitiful loot system, annoying difficulty, boring gameplay and plethora of bugs. Blizzard Entertainment took all this feedback, however, and improved the game massively, culminating in the arrival of Loot 2.0 and the Reaper of Souls expansion. And it never ever had any controversies after that…right?
