The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is an open world action RPG developed by Bethesda Game Studios. It is the fifth main instalment in the franchise.
Originally released in 2011 for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, it was later remastered for new consoles and also brought over to the Nintendo Switch.
Former Bethesda designer Bruce Nesmith says the PS3's architecture made it "a real struggle" to get the open world title to run on the console.
Waiting a decade for new instalments in franchises as massive as Fallout and Elder Scrolls feels like a waste.
Capcom's action RPG captures the best strengths of several genre behemoths.
The update seems to indicate that Bethesda might give paid mods another shot with the new Creations menu in Skyrim.
